UMAG - KLANA

Umag, the most western coastal town in Istria, is the start of this 6 day long mountain bike adventure. Despite seemingly crowded tourist area the route is quickly leading to the Istrian inland where hills and pittoresque towns are changing one after another on a mother nature stage. With a little over 3000 meters of altitude and climbing over the mountain and a nature park Učka, this first stage sets the race pace for the rest of the adventure. The day ends in Klana, small town situated in the densely forested Gorski kotar region as a preview you of the terrain following in the next stage.
STAGE 2
KLANA - FUŽINE

Stage 2, over its 74 kilometers with 2500 meters of elevation, laid its path through the beautiful and wild forests of the National park Risnjak before descending to lake Lokve and ending in Mrkopalj, another village located in the mountainous part of Croatia. This stage offers lots of fresh air, mesmerising views and plenty of solitude to find your rhythm and embrace the wilderness. The terrain varies from gentle fireroards to forest paths and single tracks and is often as steep as it’s beautiful.
STAGE 3
FUŽINE - KRASNO POLJE

Riding through Velika Kapela, the heart of Croatia and a vast area with no larger settlements, is a spiritual experience that awards those who dare and are strong enough to endure. This strict nature reserve is a masterpiece of karst rocks shaped in endless forms. TCMM route stretches through and under the impressive White and Samarske rocks where all the paths are shared with, mostly very shy, wild animals. 85 kilometers long stage and its 2500 meters of elevation leads from downright wilderness to exposed paths of the biggest Croatian mountain range Velebit with the most stunning views on the Adriatic sea and its islands.
STAGE 4
KRASNO POLJE - SV. ROK

Krasno Polje is one of the biggest mountainous settlement in Croatia, lying on the northern slopes of the Velebit mountain. It offers a good refugee to recover and enjoy the mighty presence of the Northern Velebit National park. 155 kilometers long Stage 4 leads through the heart of the National Park and awards with mesmerising view, plenty of shades and comfortable rides around and through seemingly impenetrable terrain. The second part of this stage flows through the karst mountain formations on the historical road carved in the rocks before it arrives to Baške Oštarije and continues to the stage finish in Sv. Rok.
STAGE 5
SV. ROK - KNIN

The penultimate 140 kilometers long stage with 3000 meters of elevation is starting with the long but gentle climb to another nature phenomenon Tulove grede. This path was a historical gravel road connecting inland Lika region with Dalmatia and is also the last part of the TCMM route on Velebit. Descending down towards Zrmanja river, the terrain gets less mountainous and more rocky but it offers refreshments in the crystal clear waters of Krupa and Zrmanja rivers. The long day ends in Knin, a very importan historical traffic junction near the source of river Krka.
STAGE 6
KNIN - SKRADIN

The final stage and the easiest of all with only 85 kilometers and 1600 meters of elevation is leading through the National Park Krka and offering some of the most breathtaking views the nature can create. Open gravel paths are connecting small inland villages while passing next to Čikola and Krka rivers. The feeling of civilisation slowly starts to creep back in before the race finishes in a beautiful town of Skradin, hidden in the bay at the end of Krka river.
